The vow : the true events that inspired the movie; / sound recording} / Kim & Krickett [sic] Carpenter.
On November 24, 1993, two months after their marriage, Kim and Krickitt Carpenter leave for a Thanksgiving trip to her parents. Loaded up in their 1993 Ford Escort and with Krickitt driving, they travel westward on I-40.
As the evening carries on, suddenly Krickitt comes up behind a truck having engine trouble and traveling at a slow rate of speed. Attempting to swerve, to miss the truck, the two collide, and another truck following too close behind the Carpenter's broadsides Krickitt and Kim. The aftermath of the wreck changes their lives forever.
The Vow is a testament to the power and perservance of love. The tender story that has touched millions of people now is told by the two who lived it. Their life together has not been defined by a car wreck but by a vow they made.
